1994-1997 Electrical

Often called an OBS, the 1994-1997 body-style Ford F-Series Trucks were the first pickups to have the famous 7.3 Powerstroke Diesel, which was also the first electronically controlled diesel engine available in a pickup.

Because of this, the electrical system in the 1994-1997 OBS is more complex than that in its 1983-1993 counterpart, which was available with a 6.9 and 7.3 non-Powerstroke Diesel known as the IDI Diesel.
