What a great product. I have a 1996 7.3 without a block heater. I have replaced the standard relay twice, with the same results. Long hard start times. I purchased this relay and these starting issues are gone. Yesterday the morning temp was 30 and this morning's temperature was 26. I turned the relay on for 1 minute and then started the engine right up.
Thank you Corey.

I have had problems getting my 7.3 started in the 30 degree temperatures in GA. My 7.3 doesn't have a block heater. Prior to buying this relay, it would take 5 minutes to start the truck in freezing weather. Now, after sitting a minute from the time my wait to start light goes out, the truck has started like it's 80 degrees out. I have no issues now. Thank you CNC for your help.

Why didnt Ford use this relay?

I used to have to replace the GPR once a year or every other because we get very cold winters and it seems to burn them up a lot. I switched to this relay and have made it several winters with no problems at all. The glow plugs seem to heat up and the truck starts a little faster as well. I dont understand why Ford didnt use a constant duty relay like this in the first place!!!
