7.3L FORD POWERSTROKE INJECTOR DRIVER MODULE (IDM) 140V MODIFICATION

There are many people who have completed this upgrade themselves with great success, but if you are not comfortable soldering on a pc board, then we suggest not trying this as a replacement IDM is not cheap.

This modification increases throttle response by actuating the injectors much quicker, and typically will quiet down injector noise.  It has been dyno'd on a normally healthy engine to increase by as much as 20hp.  By increasing the voltage on the PC board, this also lowers the current (amps) and lessens heat throughout the under valve cover harnesses to help them last longer. Too much heat over time will cause the insulation on the wires to dry rot quicker, crack, and possibly short out if the wires come into contact with the head.
