Description

These lines are to replace the typical high mileage expensive leaky OEM HPOP lines that have the STC fittings. Kit comes with 2 hoses and all necessary fittings to eliminate the quick connect fittings (STC) on the heads and the HPOP itself.

INSTALLATION:

Disconnect the battery grounds before installation to avoid accidentally arc'ing the line on the glow plug relay or the alternator charging lug. Use pictures from the product webpage for routing example. The fittings are marked "4" for passenger head and "3" for driver head.  After installation, be sure there is no other lines/wires that are touching the lines that could potentially rub through and damage either the HPOP line or the other line that may be touching it.  Use a small section of wire loom protector or a larger piece or rubber hose to wrap around the contact point.  Many will remove or bend the engine eyelet on the driver side as a precaution, but it is not necessary.  Sealant is not necessary, but IF you choose to use any, use Loctite 680 or Permatex 64000 retaining compound (green) only on the fittings installed in the HPOP.  If you are unsure of installing yourself, seek out a competent and qualified technician to install the lines.

SD 2 LINE-BOTH SIDES ARE SAME LENGTH. OBS 2 LINE- PASSENGER IS LONGER OF THE 2. **FOR ANY 3 LINE KIT THE SHORTEST LINE IS THE CROSSOVER HOSE.

NOTICE:

We know it may be cheaper for those wanting to save some money and have a local hydraulic shop make lines, but in our 20yrs experience, it is not advisable due to the amount of thermal cycling and engine sees.  Normal hydraulic is meant for normal hydraulic use, NOT on the engines. See pictures of what happens to our competitor lines. Dry rot and blistering of the hose. We have sold over 10,000 kits.

Installed these lines to replace my leaking stock ones and so far these work great and look much better under the hood. Disclaimer if you install these with Riff Raff plenums install the fitting for the drivers side into the block first. I didn't and the Allen stripped on the plenum and that was a bear to get out. Learn from me.

Great kit, all good quality components and no more leaky quick connects. As with James review, if you have billet plenums (ie riffraff) the driver side will have to come off to install the fitting in the head. You could add a male to female fitting to gain the 1/4" you need but for a cleaner more reliable install, its gotta happen. Other than that the install was super straightforward and easy. Looking forward to adding a CNC Fab HPOP soon!
